Transonic is a 38mm minimum diameter rocket that utilizes a
DuPont Zytel fiberglass reinforced fin canister with a filament
wound glass epoxy airframe. A two piece motor retainer machined
from 6061 T6 aluminum anodized for wear and corrosion is
included in the kit. Just slide motor in & thread on retainer
cap and you`re ready to go. This rocket is capable of reaching
2,800 feet using just an H242T motor. If you really want to go
for it, use a J570. You`re looking at about 8,600 feet and Mach
1.16. Your performance will vary depending on rocket weight,
finish and weather at the launch site. | 40 oz | 38mm | 57" | 38mm | $179.00 | Out of stock |

The Transonic II is a 54mm minimum diameter rocket that utilizes
a DuPont Zytel fiberglass reinforced fin canister with a
filament wound glass epoxy airframe. A two piece motor retainer
machined from 6061 T6 aluminum anodized for wear and corrosion
is included in the kit. Just slide motor in & thread on retainer
cap and you`re ready to go. The Transonic II features a
fiberglass nosecone with built in 38mm payload section! The
payload sesction can accommodate the ALTS2 or similar
altimiters. This is a very high performance rocket, capable of
reaching altitudes over 14,000 feet and Mach 1.4 with an
Aerotech K550W! Even higher altitudes and speeds can be obtained
using Kosdon or similar high performance motors. Optional MDR
unit is highly recommended if you plan on using motors larger
than a J.
The MDR system includes a 24" fiberglass airframe with piston
ejection system, threaded airframe coupler with new machined
aluminum parts! so you can simply screw your airframes together,
8" long fiberglass altimiter/LES holder and kevlar shock cord.
This option is highly recommeded for the Transonic II because of
the extreme altitudes this rocket is capable of. Transonic II
